Native Instruments has today announced the first number update to Traktor in six years, Traktor Pro 4, a major upgrade to its DJ platform that brings modern stems and the long-awaited addition of flexible beatgrids.
In a surprise move, the company has also announced the end of Traktor Pro Plus, the software’s subscription tier, with the extra features of that version of the software – namely, the Pattern Player and Ozone Maximizer – now available to all users.

Existing users of Traktor can upgrade for $74, and the software when bought outright is now priced at $149 – although of course the way most people get this software is free with Traktor hardware, which remains the best value way of obtaining it.
We have a full written review of the software along with a talkthrough video of the new features, which you can find here.
