Mixcloud is now baked right into Traktor DJ, the Native Instruments iPad & iPhone DJ app. Today’s 1.4 release of the software – a free update to all owners, of course – adds the ability to upload your set directly to Mixcloud from within the app to share with the world. Plus, doing so by May 31 means you may win a trip to Ibiza.
As well as the Mixcloud export built in, Traktor DJ 1.4 brings three new effects – Iceverb, Transpose Stretch and Reverse Grain. There is also playlist and subfolder editing. (Now if NI would just find a nice, simple way to add nudge and manual BPM adjustment, we think Traktor DJ would be approaching a perfect iOS DJ app…)
Mixes recorded and uploaded to Mixcloud using Traktor DJ will be automatically entered into a contest to win an trip to Ibiza, to be judged by acid house legend A Guy Called Gerald.
• Traktor DJ 1.4 is now available for download in the App Store for $9.99 / €8.99 £6.99 (iPad) and $1.99 / €1.79 / £1.49 (iPhone).
