IK Multimedia just announced the iLoud MTM monitors here at NAMM 2019. They are compact reference monitors with 3.5″ woofers and 1″ tweeters, and they are meant for DJ/producers and music production. They build on IK Multimedia’s previous iLoud Micro Monitors by having onboard processing that allows the iLoud MTM monitors to calibrate themselves automatically to your studio space. This lets them sound their best whether they’re in a music production studio or your bedroom.

The way the iLoud MTM calibration works is you first set up the monitors in your production space as normal. You then place the included measurement microphone in your listening position, and then you press the calibration button – the iLoud MTMs then adjust their sound according to your listening environment.

We love the original iLoud Micro Monitors, and the auto-calibration on these new iLoud MTMs mean you could get even better, more accurate sound for your home studio, especially if you aren’t in an acoustically treated space. It’s an awesome concept and we can’t wait to check them out here at NAMM 2019.
