In the last couple of weeks, we’ve seen strong rumours that Apple will close its download store within two years, in the face of the relentless rise in music streaming. Beatport is on rocky ground too, and downloads of music continue to drop year-on-year, just as CD purchases did a generation ago. Where will this inevitable decline leave DJs?
