Serato just announced that its Serato Studio beta is now open once again to the public. Serato Studio is the company’s streamlined beatmaking software meant for DJs, and Serato already closed beta testing a few days after its launch back in March 2019 because it was at full capacity. Now that it has reopened, DJs keen on trying it out can jump in and play around with the app which now has new features including Master Track Waveform, Library preview, Stem export, and more.
A brand new Dusty Crates pack has also been added, bringing 1GB of fresh new content to make beats with. Plus, Serato has officially announced pricing for it: Serato Studio will be available as a subscription for US$14.99/month, or US$9.99/month billed annually.
We’ve taken a first look at Serato Studio and we liked what we saw – it stays true to the Serato essentialist ethos, and it bears the company’s “simple is better” aesthetic when it comes to the interface. We love how easy it is to come up with a beat quickly, and we think the ability to use your Serato DJ controller with Serato Studio is a cool idea.
