Serato just released its latest version of Serato DJ. Now at 1.7.6, the update includes support for Denon DJ’s DS1, which is a tiny two-channel DVS interface that lets you use a pair of turntables or CDJs with Serato DJ.
We first saw the Denon DJ DS1 at NAMM 2015 and was surprised at how small and compact it was, making it perfect for cramped DJ booths. Previously the exclusive domain of pricey Rane SL boxes, the Denon DJ DS1 is in step with what Serato’s plan for booth domination, at least for laptop DJs: The Serato DJ Club Kit expansion allows it to work plug and play with more club-standard mixers than before, and the Denon DJ DS1 looks to be the least expensive Serato DVS interface when it comes out.
