Want more control over your DJ app or DAW? Check out this upcoming device called Sensi M – it’s a small, modular Bluetooth controller that’s got a special adhesive bottom, allowing you to stick it on any surface without leaving a mark. It’s currently in the prototype stage and the makers say that there will be two types of Sensi M controllers available: Atom Pressure, which is a velocity-sensitive surface, and Atom Turn, which is a knob. You can build your own Sensi M controller since both Atom Pressure and Atom Turn are modular and communicate with each other.
It’s an interesting concept, and one that’s been done before: Palette is an attempt at a modular controller, though it has received mixed reviews since its launch a few years back. What makes Sensi M different is that it’s wireless (Palette needs a USB connection) and that brings with it a host of performance scenarios – sticking it on top of your DJ controller or mixer and mapping it via Midi Learn is an example. We’ll keep you posted as more details about Sensi M emerges.
