Digital DJ Tips Platinum Group member Danny H. Andsome asks: “Do you remember the first ever track you played live at a gig or in public? Which tune started your DJ career? My first public performance was last summer during the final week of the Royal DJ Academy in Rhodes, Greece. It was training week and the students got deployed at various clubs and bars to get some practice in public by taking over the decks from our teachers. I believe my first track was J. Holiday – Bed (Seamus Haji Remix), what was yours?”

Digital DJ Tips says…

Great question, Danny! When I look back, I am pretty happy with my choice, mine was Max Graef & Muff Deep – Mumbojambo. It was actually the second time I played in public but I don’t count the first (it’s a long story)! The record is still one of my favourite tracks and it set the tone nicely for the rest of the evening. I was nervous and putting that on chilled me out a little and brought a smile to my face. It was definitely the track that kicked off my “career”.

We had a few laughs at Digital DJ Tips HQ reminiscing about each of ours and here they are:

Steve: JVC Force – Strong Island

Joey: Alice Deejay – Better Off Alone

Lauren: LORN – Anvil

Phil: Black Box – Ride On Time

Scott: Disclosure – When A Fire Starts To Burn

Juanmi: Michael Jackson – Billie Jean

Christian: Max Graef & Muff Deep – Mambojambo

Quite an eclectic mix indeed.
