After some discussion at Digital DJ Tips HQ this week, we decided to ask you if you have a set routine for cleaning your prize equipment. What are your dos and don’ts? Do you wait until the faders are all jammed up with gunk before you get the cloth out, or are you like the guys who wash their cars every Sunday morning, even if they haven’t driven anywhere?

Shamefully, I can’t remember the last time that I gave my decks a full wipe down. They look clean enough and I do have somewhat of an excuse in that I don’t move them or take them to gigs. When I do remember to, I use a traditional fluffy duster and baby wipes to get any residual grime off. How do you go about it?

So, over to you: How often do you clean your gear? What do you use to do it? Do you have any nifty techniques to share? Let us know in the comments below…
