Rekordbox DJ, Pioneer’s DJ software solution, is the second major DJ package to add music streaming from DJ-focused service Pulselocker, it has been announced today at NAMM 2016. As with Serato DJ, now Rekordbox DJ users will be able to stream tracks from a Pulselocker account directly into their software, giving users of the rekordbox DJ Plus Pack access to 44 million tracks, from 500,000 record labels.
“Since we launched the Rekordbox DJ Plus Pack in October, DJs have told us they’d like it to include support for streaming services like Pulselocker,” says Yoshiaki Ide of Pioneer DJ. “We’re excited to partner with Pulselocker and give DJs a new way to access the music they love.”
Unlike other current streaming solutions in DJ software, Pulselocker’s allows offline streaming, meaning DJs don’t need an internet connection to use the service; they simply prepare their set as usual offline, and Pulselocker keeps special local copies of the music they request.
• Pulselocker is currently available in the UK, USA & Canada. Rekordbox DJ support will be available from Spring 2016.
