Denon DJ StageLink
We get a first hand look at the StageLink feature of the new Denon DJ MCX8000, which lets you control visuals and lights straight from the controller.

We’ve covered before the features of this exciting new DJ controller from Denon DJ, but we haven’t looked at a “hidden” feature that we think is pretty smart, that being the StageLink Ethernet connection for controlling lighting, video – and even pyrotechnics!

Here at the NAMM Show, Denon DJ was demoing an MCX8000 controller with video kept in time directly from the unit using the SmartLink. This is stuff straight from the festival stage, but as Ross from Denon DJ explains in this video, it’s shortly going to become available for MCX8000 DJs wanting to introduce synchronised audio and video into their club and mobile DJ sets, as more accessible versions of products designed to do this stuff hit the market later this year.

Would you be excited about the prospect of being able to sync your DJing with video and visual/lighting effects via this kind of solution? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
