The Gig Bar IRC would make an ideal first lighting rig for the DJ who wants to own his or here complete set-up, as it has an array of effects and is easy to control and pack away.

It was announced a couple of months back and is hitting stores around now, and on show here at NAMM 2015 in LA: Chauvet’s all-in-one lighting solution that would make an ideal first lighting purchase for any DJ who wants to own his or her own portable complete set-up for parties and smaller gigs.

An all-in-one solution for DJs

Gig Bar
It comes complete with foot control, carrying bags, tripod and all connectors and cables needed to get it working.

It combines four modern lighting fixtures onto a single control bar: a pair of LED kintas, a pair of LED pars, a laser, and a strobe effect, and comes complete with tripod and carry bag in a simple easy-to-set-up, easy-to-take-down package. It has built-in automated and sound-activated programs, or you can control it from its display, a remote control, a wireless wireless footswitch, or using DMX (the lighting equivalent of Midi).

The tripod, wireless footswitch, and carry bags are all included, and you can even master/slave multiple units under the control of a single IRC-6 remote control (note, this isn’t provided and is a separate purchase) or wireless footswitch. Coming in at US$449 / £349, it’s pretty good value too.

Is this the kind of lighting system that could tempt you to take your first steps towards adding lighting to your rig? do you own it, or use something similar? Please share your thoughts in the comments.
