DJ/producers who use vinyl either as a source of samples or to rip for use in digital sets may be interested in a new reference turntable from high-end manufacturer MoFi Electronics.

Its new so-called entry-level model, the StudioDeck, comes in at £995, and features a straight aluminium tonearm designed to “deliver the ideal balance of rigidity and low tracking error”.

While you may thing £995 to be far from entry level, MoFi’s reputation as a high-end brand makes this an affordable way into the company’s world – and if things like world-class speed stability for pitch accuracy are worth the extra to you, this may be just what you’re looking for.

And for everyone else? DJ turntables from Reloop, Pioneer, Denon DJ and others will likely be a better fit – especially if you want to actually DJ with them (this model is strictly for audiophiles, not performing on).
