How To Turn A Spotify Playlist Into A Bandcamp Shopping List

Many of us use Spotify for our music discovery, and then individually buy the tracks we want to use in our DJing. Now, a new tool lets you easily see what tracks in any Spotify playlist are available to buy on Bandcamp, the site where artists sell their music direct to customers.

It’s from Hypebot, it’s called the “Merch Table” and it’s really easy to use – click here to give it a go.

We’ve wanted something like this for a long time – it is so tedious buying tracks one by one from Spotify playlists, even since Spotify stopped selling music itself (which was many years ago now).

Next steps…

We’d like to see this available for other streaming services too, and also for other retailers – I know it’s cool to buy from Bandcamp if you can, but having it integrated with Beatport, Traxsource, even Amazon would be cool too. (The service only identified about 50% of tracks in a sample playlist we tried with it in Bandcamp.)

It’d also be good to have the actual individual tracks put into a shopping cart for you, rather than being directed to the release page.

Still, this is a great step in the right direction.
