DJ Player Pro
DJ Player Pro just launched over at the App Store, bringing with it Stems support, a new interface, and cloud-based cue points.

A new iPad DJ app, DJ Player Pro, has just been released, and brings support for Native Instruments’ multitrack Stems format. A more feature-packed variant of the DJ Player iOS app, DJ Player Pro also boasts an overhauled user interface, and cloud storage for cue points.

iOS DJing has come a long way, and DJ Player has always been on the platform’s cutting edge since the beginning: While many saw DJing on the iPhone or iPad as a gimmick during its early days, DJ Player was billeted as the professional solution with pro features, even going as far as having DVS capabilities built-in.

No surprise, then, that the DJ Player Pro spin-off is the first to natively implement Stems on iOS, and while we’re unsure as to how effective a cloud-based cue point syncing system will be (or indeed how may DJs would really want something like it), it’s good to see innovation in the iOS DJ market.

• DJ Player Pro is now available as a free download (with some pretty hefty in-app purchases) on the App Store. Check out the DJ Player website for more details.

Have you tried DJing with your iPad or iPhone? Which app did you use, and what was your experience like? Would you want to try mixing this app? Let us know in the comments below.
