Weighing only 168g, the TMA-2 DJ XE – Danish audio company AIAIAI’s newest addition to its DJ headphone line – builds on the company’s modular product design philosophy, this time focusing more on “flexibility, mobility and versatility”.
AIAIAI claims the same overall durability of previous models for the TMA-2 DJ XE, with “a new balanced sound profile from signature bio-diaphragm drivers”.

Essentially they’re a slightly cheaper version of the existing TMA-2 DJ headphones, in a lighter, more slimline guise that many DJs may prefer to the bulkier, heavier existing model. They come in alongside the TMA-2 Studio XE, which is the equivalent lightweight version of AIAIAI’s studio headphones.
The headphones feature a 40mm diaphragm, high isolation earpads, and soft on-ear foam cushions covered in PU leather.
Modular for life
As with all AIAIAI models, the TMA-2 modular headphone system offers interchangeable components such as earpads, cables, and speaker units.
The idea is that you can upgrade or change parts of your headphones to improve sound quality, comfort and style over time – or, as the company says, “one pair of headphones for life”.
