Boutique UK analogue DJ equipment manufacturer, Union Audio, has announced a new DJ mixer aimed squarely at clubs and professional DJs/producers, called the Elara.6.
With four input channels, each with four-band EQ, two auxiliary sends, dual cueing for artist handover or back-to-back sets, and a top-class crossfader, this is a high-end mixer with a price to match. It has a set of purest analogue tools that both separate it from the competition and clearly show which part of the market it’s aimed at.
Three analogue effects
One highlight for us are the analogue effects.
The Elara.6 has a switchable high or low pass filter incorporating resonance and frequency controls, a drive control with active sidechain (that can add anything from a bit of life to the mix all the way through to full-on distortion), and finally a unique stereo width control designed to be used alongside the other two effects in transitions or breakdowns.
As such, the mixer offers something new while at the same time aiming squarely at people who might be interested in mixers from brands like Allen & Heath and PlayDifferently.

The mixer is available in rotary or linear fader format – and while it certainly isn’t for everyone, for a certain kind of DJ we imagine this will prove very exciting indeed.
The mixer is priced at £2200, excluding VAT. More information from Union Audio.
