Users of Denon DJ’s Prime gear can now upgrade both their hardware and their laptops to the latest versions of Engine, and take advantage of a whole host of new features including elastic beatgrids, Dropbox integration, and an additional streaming service: Beatsource LINK.

To celebrate, Denon DJ is giving all Engine OS product owners a six-month 25GB Dropbox space boost.

As well as the Dropbox integration, the laptop Engine Prime preparation software can now import elastic beatgrids from Serato and Rekordbox 5 (but not Rekordbox 6). Engine Prime also gains an auto collection backup option on exit. Compatibility with macOS 11 Big Sur has been added.

Users of Denon DJ’s standalone media players (SC5000/M and SC6000/M) get dual layer waveform view, and Prime 4 users finally get the track preview feature that users of the other Prime hardware already enjoy. Another useful addition is the much asked-for reloop trigger option for active saved loops.

Both the Engine OS 1.6 firmware upgrade and the Engine Prime 1.6 Mac and Windows laptop software upgrade are available now from the Denon DJ software download page.

Meanwhile, users wanting to take advantage of the six-month 25GB Dropbox space offer – which is good for both new and existing Dropbox users – can click here to register and obtain the promo code.
