I caught up with Jazzy Jeff backstage at the BPM | PRO Show 2017, following an outstanding DJ set where he played everything from vintage soul to 8-bit arcade game tunes.

We chatted about the relationship between hip-hop and the DJ, how everyone having thousands of tunes in their pockets has changed the rules of what DJs can play, and what he did two nights earlier when he was on stage and ready to start his set, only to find he had no music on his hard drive…
