The updated K.2 Series boasts a striking look and thanks to its onboard DSP and flexible mounting options, can be used as the main PA or for booth monitoring; perfect for mobile DJ use.

Manufacturer of professional loudspeakers QSC has announced the launch of its updated K.2 Series, aimed at mobile DJs and live performers. The range is comprised of the K8.2 (8″), K10.2 (10″) and K12.2 (12″) loudspeakers, and the KS212C, which is a companion single-box subwoofer.

The loudspeakers are equipped with a 2000-Watt power module, and have onboard digital signal processing (DSP) that allows you to configure the speaker for different use scenarios, such as the style of music being played, EQ, and speaker placement. Each model can also be flown, wall or truss-mounted, or placed on a speaker pole. This flexibility will interest mobile DJs as the K.2 Series can function as either the main PA or as a booth monitor.

The K.2 Series speakers certainly look slick, but as always, we’ll give our judgement after we’ve had a chance to review them.

• The K.2 Series is now available, with the subwoofer shipping in late Summer 2017. The K8.2 retails for US$649, the K10.2 for US$699, and the K12.2 for US$799. The KS212C subwoofer will retail for US$1399. Find out more on the QSC website.
