Groovebox, free all-in-one studio app for both the iPhone and iPad, has just been released. It features two synthesisers and a drum machine, making it a useful tool for producers to quickly sketch out musical ideas on-the-go, and also for DJs who want to dabble in production.
More advanced users can get stuck in with adjusting parameters, sequencing drums, and using the mixer and key-lock modes. You can export sounds to a laptop or sync them to other Ableton Link-compatible apps wirelessly, too. While the core app is free, extra features are available for in-app purchase, such as LFOs and envelopes.
Groovebox It comes from Ampify, the developer behind popular mobile music making apps Launchpad and Blocs Wave, and looks to be a fun-to-use, powerful on-the-go tool. It’s something that we are looking forward to doing a full review of soon.
