Jean-Michel Jarre
I spent half an hour with Jean-Michel Jarre backstage after he received a Roland Lifetime Achievement Award at NAMM 2017, talking to him about electronic music, DJ culture, how to be a great DJ/producer, and much more.

He’s sold 80 million albums. He’s had a 45-year career in electronic music. He was putting on huge sound and light shows when most of today’s EDM DJs weren’t even born. Oh, and his grandfather could just have invented the turntable.

He is, of course, multi award-winning French electronic music producer and performer Jean-Michel Jarre. He was at NAMM 2017 to receive a Lifestime Achievement Award, and in this exclusive interview with Digital DJ Tips, he talks about his career, analogue vs digital electronic music, his influence on today’s DJ culture – and exactly what DJ/producers should concentrate on to get success in the world of electronic music in the 21st century. Enjoy!
