The Gemini booth has a new pair of media players at this year’s NAMM Show, called the MDJ1000. They look quite similar to a CDJ-700, but there are some feature improvements here on the MDJ1000, such as having slightly larger screens. It plays audio from CDs, USB sticks, and it even sends Midi data.

Just like a CDJ set-up, you can link up to four MDJ1000s for a full four-deck configuration, and at US$399 apiece, you can certainly do that without breaking the bank (buying all four would still cost less compared to buying one CDJ2000Nexus, for instance). There’s even a sync option if you want all your decks to be perfectly matched.

Watch our talkthrough video to find out more about the Gemini MDJ1000.
