MC6000 Mk2
The MC6000 Mk2 is a marked improvement layout-wise on the Mk1, and now that it comes with Serato DJ in the box, it’s even better value for the working DJ.

The Denon DJ MC6000 Mk2 is already fantastic controller for Serato DJ, being well built, highly portable and pro quality. Now it’s even better value – as we found out from Denon DJ at BPM 2014 – because from now it is now shipping with the full version of Serato DJ in the box, as opposed to Serato DJ Intro as previously.

Ever since its Mk1 incarnation, the Denon DJ MC6000 been firm favourite with working DJs, especially mobile DJs who need multiple mic channels and flexible outputs to PA systems, booth and so on. At a street price of around US$699/£429/€549, it certainly offers great value for a pro-built, four channel controller.

With Denon DJ now under the umbrella of parent company inMusic (which also owns Numark and Akai Pro), this appears to be the first step in showing the world that Denon DJ is looking forward after a few uncertain months, and ought to offer a lot of reassurance to the brand’s fanbase. This also begs the question: What new products might we see from Denon as inMusic develops the brand further? I guess time will tell…

Are you tempted by this unit, especially now that the price has effectively been slashed by the inclusion of a full version of Serato DJ in the box? Are you feeling brighter about the Denon brand seeing its new website and some marketing going on once again? Please share your thoughts in the comments.
