Reloop just announced Kut, a two-channel battle mixer with USB connectivity ahead of NAMM 2018. It looks like a classic battle mixer with three-band EQs and an FX knob with four switchable effects per channel, phono / line inputs, master and booth RCA jacks, a dedicated mic channel with EQ controls as well as a USB sound card with eight inputs and six outputs. It’s also got a replaceable Innofader for its crossfader. It doesn’t come bundled with any DJ software, but it can be used with “DVS systems that allow for freely configurable audio interface support”.

We like the look of the Reloop Kut – it’s reminiscent of all those great battle mixers in the past such as the Vestax PMC-05 and the Ecler HAK series. The onboard FX brings it squarely into the present, though it’s a shame that there is no specific DJ software support for it upfront. That could change in the coming months as the Kut begins to appear in shelves and DJ app developers begin to support it. Watch out for our review soon.
