Serato just announced Serato DJ Lite 1.3.2, the latest version of its entry-level DJ software. The update includes beatgrids similar to those found in Serato DJ Pro, which make both manual beatmixing and sync beatmixing easier since it’s easier to spot the downbeats in a track. Serato DJ Lite 1.3.2 also includes demo music for you to practise mixing with, and in-app tutorials to get you started spinning straight away. Plus it’s also compatible with macOS 10.15 Catalina for you Mac users.
Beatgrids are one of the most useful features of digital DJ software because they allow you to mix with greater phrase precision regardless of whether you’re spinning manually or with sync. New DJs can now get familiar with how they work (and also how to tweak them) thanks to this update.
