(EDIT: Native Instruments has officially launched the Traktor S3. Read our coverage here)
French online store Energyson has published what appears to be the upcoming Traktor Kontrol S3 before any official announcement from Native Instruments (Online store Sonicolor also published an entry that has since been taken down. We’ve added more images of the Traktor S3 from it to the gallery below).
The photos show a four-channel controller with eight performance pads per deck, Mixer FX, and jogwheels with LED lights around them. The write-up says that the jogwheels are NOT motorised, and the mixer does not have standalone capability. We also can’t spot any displays on the unit.
Round the back are XLR and RCA master outputs, 1/4″ booth outputs, RCA line inputs for Deck D, an iOS jack and a laptop USB jack. It also has a combo mic jack and headphone jacks. According to the description in the Energyson site, the Traktor S3 works with both Traktor Pro 3 on PC/Mac as well as the Traktor DJ 2 app on iOS.
Without confirmation or verification from NI, these photos and info remain speculative. This is a developing story and we’ll provide more details when they become available.
