Loopcloud, the online cloud platform for storing and managing your loops and samples, has just received a big update. Now at version 3.0, you can now upload your own sounds over to Loopcloud which then analyses them and adds tags such as instrument, key and BPM.

Loopcloud also comes with a comprehensive Tag Editor that lets you then add, remove, edit or customise these tags for added organisation. Once you’ve got your loops and samples over on Loopcloud, you can then take advantage of its robust search, filter, and auto key features.

We reviewed Loopcloud last year and thought it was a solid way to store all your Loopmasters sounds in an online locker that you can access whenever and wherever, long as you’ve got an internet connection. This new update means that loops and samples from other manufacturers and producers and even sounds you’ve made yourself can now be consolidated in Loopcloud, making accessing and managing your entire collection a lot easier.

Do you think this is a nice feature to have for Loopcloud? Do you think storing sounds online is a good idea? Or would you rather have all of them stored on your laptop or a physical external drive? Let us know your thoughts below.
