The latest version of the Reason digital audio workstation has just been announced by developer Propellerhead. Reason 10 is a major content and instrument update to the long-running production software, adding in five new synths and instruments, a new piano called Radical Piano, as well as over 3GB of new drum samples and loops.
When it comes to synthesis and creating sounds, we like Reason because it’s got a lot of built-in synths that have easy-to-use interfaces. It’s one of the first producer-oriented digital audio workstations (it debuted back in 2000), and 17 years later it’s grown into a powerful music environment that’s now got even more sounds and synthesisers loaded. Watch out for our review of it as soon as it comes out.
