When filming one of the modules for our updated How To Digital DJ Fast course, we had all three main DJ apps (Traktor, Virtual DJ and Serato) all open at once, and a Numark NV plugged in. That’s when we realised something mighty strange was happening, and also something pretty cool: It turns out that Virtual DJ not only works fine with the Numark NV, but also with its built-in screens!
We had a quick test to ensure all appeared to be working as it should, and indeed it does. This means that Virtual DJ Pro owners who like the look of the Numark NV can now buy it knowing their software will work fine with it (and of course as Serato DJ is also in the box, getting the chance to try that software too).
It also means that buyers of the NV needn’t feel that they’ll be tied to Serato DJ if they decide it isn’t for them, they have the option of using at least one of the other “big two”, apparently without any compromise on the NV.
Anyway, here’s our quick video showing the feature at work. Would love to know if you’re an owner of this software/hardware combination, and if so, what your experience of the pair working together has been so far.
