Midi Fighter with NS6?

Hello all! I just looked through all 9 pages of the "Post a pic of your set-up" thread...

I noticed that some people have more than one controller, and or, combinations of CDJ's and controllers and tables, and effects units... Are you guys just switching back and forth to whatever you see fit, or using those at the same time?

I'm new to mixing, I bought an NS6 a bit ago, and now am curious about adding a midi fighter... Is there a way to use those both at the same time with one laptop? Does the midi fighter work well with Serato Itch?

a midi fighter is used as a secondary controller, it works well with ssl cant vouch for itch i personally use mine with traktor pro, your best bet maybe to talk to the guys at DJTT ho are the makers of the midi fighter and so would know how it functions in itch

I think you cannot use it with Itch right away, as itch is not midi mappable. But you can probably use Mitch (Midi-to-Itch) as a bridge, but that is not really easy...

you can't use the ns6 in traktor... you can in vdj, and I put up a mapping for the midifighter classic on djtt, but no one ever gave me any useful feedback to know if it works or not (i don't have one but the mapping works great on my icon istage)

You can use the Midi Fighter at the same time as the NS6 in Itch. It is much more limited to what you can "map" to it then in Scratch Live and Traktor. Basically, any command that can be triggered by a keystroke on the keyboard can be mapped to a button on the midi fighter. This is achieved by using a midi-keystroke translator.

Thanks for the effort to help, I appreciate it. I don't think I'm up for clever mapping myself. But I love the idea of running both.
So, if I had traktor pro, and a regular traktor controller... I just plug them both in to the pc USB, and still use the controllor for sound output, but the midi fighter works as well?

That sounds awesome, and that makes me frustrated as hell that Serato won't do that.

It's not as complicated as it seems... just google it.

I am just curious what you are looking to map to the midi fighter that you can't already do on the NS6?

Thanks Vinny, you posted while I was typing my last response, so I didn't see it. What will the limitations be then? Or maybe a better question is, what would it add to the NS6? Do you think it would be worth it?

It was useful prior to the last update of Itch where you were not able to trigger the SP6 sample player. Now every Itch controller can natively trigger the SP6 sampler. So, the midi fighter would be limited to triggering a few things like Record start/stop and pitch bend and such....
