Launchpad iOS
Novation just announced a new version of its Launchpad app for iPhone and iPad that comes with Ableton Link baked in.

Novation just announced an update to its Launchpad app for iPhone and iPad. Now at version 3.0, the Launchpad app supports Ableton Link, which allows you to sync it with other Link-enabled software such as Mixvibes’ Cross DJ Pro, Remixlive, and even Ableton Live for inter-app jamming and performances. The user interface also received an overhaul, and is now in colour for easy spotting of audio clips. These same colours are mirrored when using the Launchpad app with hardware such as the Novation Launchpad Pro, Launchpad Mk2, and Launchkey Mk2.

Launchpad for iOS is fun for mobile music making, and its streamlined workflow makes it easy to use in live performances. This new full-colour version makes it even more intuitive, and Ableton Link support means you can jam with other DJs / producers. It’s a lot like the aforementioned Remixlive app, but owners of compatible Novation grid controllers will find more incentive to use this because of the added tactile pad experience.
