Numark just announced its new TT250USB direct-drive turntable, which features a USB output for recording vinyl straight to your computer. It has an S-shaped tonearm, ±10% pitch control adjustment range, and a cartridge-mounted headshell that works straight out the box.
Last week’s Pioneer DJM-S9 battle mixer announcement got a lot of eyeballs from DJs looking at hardware advances in DVS, and it’s certainly nice to see turntablism getting attention again in what looks to be a maturing DJ controller market. A cost-effective turntable like this from Numark brings pro features within the reach of both DJs starting out and those wanting to get into scratching on decks.
• The Numark TT250USB will be available from the fourth quarter of 2015, and will retail for US$299. Check the Numark website for more details.
